Taken from the book "Heirloom Quilts", this is the largest quilt I have completed to date. It is about 90x100 inches and hand quilted. It was given to my Mom and step-father several years ago for Christmas. It is now the ONLY quilt they use on their bed. They have given away all the comforters.
With 4 children, the table runner is NEVER on the table, but decorates the wall in the dining room. But it does look fantastic on my hand-made Cherry table that my hubby made me for Christmas 2004.
The hands were attached using needle-turn applique. The wall hanging is hand-quilted on the diagonal.
This is a small reproduction of a quilt in "Bed and Breakfast Quilts" by Mimi Dietrich.
A few years ago, my sister saw it in the book and fell in love with it. She LOVES blue and LOVES stars. The original dimensions are 90 1/2" x 90 1/2". This version is 62" x 62".
My sister spends a small portion of her time sitting in her recliner, with the quilt on her lap, knitting alpaca.

We collaborated on the design, she completed for her 4-H quilting project.
Another "stash buster" that didn't made a very big dent...
3-inch 9-patches alternating with 3-inch squares.
This was intended to make a dent in the scraps... Didn't make that much of a dent...
I hand-pieced the tumbling blocks.
Hand quilted in the ditch.
I was in my "early learning" stage of quilting.
This quilt was originally to be kept, but HandyMan's grandmother loved it and wanted it. Who am I to so "no".
Purple, red, blue, green and yellow come together in this quilt. And no matter what I tried, I couldn't get a good photograph of it...
Requested by someone for her daughter who LOVES Snoopy.
It started as a shower curtain. I cut it apart and pieced it together.
Machine quilting - both in-the-ditch and free motion
Full-size quilt.
This quilt was incredibly simple and easy to make.
The most difficult part was keeping the squares rotated the correct way.
Sewn from the stash.
Measures approximately 54 inches square.
From the book 'Simplify' by Camille Roskelley.
I didn't make all the squares required by the pattern to keep this quilt within the size I wanted.

The Celtic Knot is from the book 'Celtic Quilts' by Beth Ann Williams.
Sewn from the stash.

The origins of this quilt came from fabric I bought a few years ago just because I loved it and decided I'd better use it.
I started with the simple applique, though no final destination.
This quilt evolved over time as I figured out what to do.

The desire for a simple red and white throw quilt prompted this design. The red is a deeper burgundy.
Sewn entirely from the stash.

I wish I could remember the name or find it again.
I believe the original pattern requires jelly rolls. I altered the size of pieces I used.
Sewn from the stash..
Large pinwheels make this throw quilt.
I was hoping to make smaller pinwheels, but fabric requirements and wanting to sew completely from the stash, required the need to make larger pinwheels.
Finishes approximately 52 inches square.
Large stars make this throw.
Measures approximately 54 inches square.
The idea for the stars came from the book 'Fresh Fabric Treats' by Moda Bake Shop designers.
The overall design was adapted to suit my needs for throw size quilts.
