Oh, the beauty of old quilts... The old fabric. The stitches. The wear and tear. The thread-bare patches. They are beautiful.
If only they could tell us their stories......
Here's a few old beauties that have been entrusted into my care for a bit of repair...
I love the "honest patch" on this one...
The next one is beyond repair... too thread-bare, but still pretty to look at...
And here is a double wedding ring quilt to be divided among four siblings whose mother passed away recently. It was a wedding present to their parents, and they each want a bit of it. The pieces will be placed under glass and forever be a reminder....
