When you buy a wardrobe to use as a coat closet in an old house with no closets...
When you move to a newer home with closets...
When you repurpose the wardrobe to store the ever-growing fabric stash...
When your daughters go rummaging in the fabric bins too full to close the lids...
When the bins, too full for lids to close, come tumbling out of the wardrobe... spilling their contents onto the living room floor...
When you get to sit on the floor surrounded by empty bins, almost in tears, because you get to re-sort the entire fabric stash by color... again...
That is when HandyMan got some more bins and a sheet of plywood...
We cut the plywood (I'm on the receiving end of the table saw), installed the shelves, redistributed the fabric a bit and now I have this...
And yes, if you look closely at that picture... there are bins on top of the cabinet... and larger pieces of batting back in my room... When you get everything re-sorted and install shelves, it takes up a bit more space than stacking it all in there...
Guess maybe it's time to plan a scrap quilt....
