Yesterday... a day of turkey and pie (the best parts of the meal - IMHO).
Also a day of being thankful. Think of all the things that are important. Family. Friends. Simple pleasures.
Today... Black Friday. Shopping. Frenzy.
Not for me. I'm staying right here. Packages have been delivered to my grandmother's. Other packages will come later.
Today, I'm going to finish basting a quilt and get it in the hoop for quilting. In the "Land of Perfect" I'd get it finished by Christmas. But I live in the "Land of Reality" and know that with the cleaning, baking, cooking, and other preparation for Christmas (and we throw in a birthday 3 days before complete with cake) there won't be time to finish it. That's OK.
So... Here's to safe travels to those who are shopping and traveling back home from visiting family and to leftover turkey.
